A hard-fought encounter was contested between Group D home team Bodoland FC and Karbi Anglong Morning Star FC during the Durand Cup on Thursday. Bodoland secured their inaugural win in the tournament by defeating Karbi Anglong 2-1 on the back of Colombian forward Robinson.
Karbi Anglong's Nigerian forward Joseph Mayowa Olaleye scored the first goal in the 25th minute, but Bodoland levelled it in the 37th minute with Gwagwamsar Gyari. Robinson scored in the 60th minute to secure the team the win.
Karbi Anglong's second-best opportunity in the second half was in the 56th minute when Sujeet Singh obtained a free kick, but his shot was misplaced and was deflected straight to Daimary.
